Please note we are professional creatives hosting art clubs and workshops, we’re not qualified school teachers. It’s the responsibility of the parent or carer to let us know if your child has any special requirements and we will do our best to accommodate where possible. As a small team we're unfortunately unable to offer one to one care.

If you're in South East London and would like me to host an after school club (or anywhere in the UK, an author visit with workshops) in your school then please get in touch! I LOVE school visits!

Lisa ☺️

PS, if you'd like to know a little more about me then here's some blurb:

Lisa Stickley is an award winning designer, author and illustrator who started out life as a printed textile designer, training at Central Saint Martins and The Royal College of Art.

Soon after graduation in 1999 - from her bedroom back home - she founded her label Lisa Stickley and sold some of her very first products to Paul Smith, Designers Guild and the Cross. Her distinctive work led to collaborations worldwide with Burberry, Harrods, Liberty, Tate, Selfridges, Heals, John Lewis, Boots, Debenhams and Japanese stores including Ships, Hankyu & Isetan.

Lisa took a break from business to have her two little girls who have sparked her passion for writing and illustrating stories for children. Inspired by her daughter’s everyday musings, Lisa’s quirky tales are told from a fresh untainted view of the world with humour and charm and brought to life with her playful characters, joyful colour and distinctive patterns. Lisa was nominated for the CILIP Carnegie & Kate Greenaway award in 2018 for her children’s book My New Room (Pavilion Books 2017) and was a finalist in the ‘Made for Mums’ awards for her book Handstand (Pavilion Books 2016). Her latest picture books include Bernard Makes A Splash! (Tate Publishing, 2019) and The Wobbly Waitress (Tate Publishing 2018).

Back in 2010 Lisa published her first sewing book ‘Made at Home’ (Quadrille) and in May 2018, her latest project book ‘Makes for Mini Folk’ (Pavilion Books) was released.

Lisa supports ‘Coram Beanstalk’ a charity that recruit, train and support volunteers to provide consistent, one-to-one literacy support to primary school children who need a little help improving their reading ability and confidence. As a children's author, a mother of two little girls, and someone who came to reading a little later, (in her teens thanks to Roald Dahl) the importance of encouraging children to enjoy reading as much as possible, as soon as possible is personal and passionate for her.

Happily doodling onto paper and cloth, these days you can buy personalised portraits, doodling books and original drawings and paintings directly from Lisa’s online shop!
